Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is set to redefine the future of mobility with the unveiling of its groundbreaking electric scooters at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The company is showcasing the all-new ACTIVA e: and QC1 electric scooters, priced at Rs. 1,17,000 and Rs. 90,000 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), respectively. These models introduce advanced technologies aimed at providing sustainable and convenient solutions for urban transportation, making them an exciting step in Honda’s EV journey.
Honda’s Managing Director, President & CEO, Mr. Tsutsumu Otani, emphasized the company’s commitment to carbon neutrality and eco-friendly transportation solutions. He highlighted the ACTIVA e: as a flagship offering that integrates swappable battery technology, providing an innovative and user-friendly approach to electric mobility. By managing battery maintenance and performance, the ACTIVA e: eliminates concerns around battery degradation, providing customers with a long-term, stress-free EV ownership experience.
The ACTIVA e: is powered by Honda’s advanced in-house developed permanent magnet synchronous motor that delivers a peak output of 6 kW. The electric scooter can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 7.3 seconds and has a top speed of 80 km/h. With two 1.5 kWh swappable batteries, it offers a range of 102 km on a full charge. For customers opting for Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), Honda provides two flexible plans—Rs. 1,999 per month for 40 km/day usage, and Rs. 3,599 per month for 100 km/day usage, allowing them to pay for only the energy they use.
In addition to the ACTIVA e:, the QC1 is a versatile, compact electric scooter that addresses the needs of daily urban commuters. Powered by a 1.5 kWh fixed battery pack, the QC1 offers a range of 80 km on a single charge. The QC1 is perfect for short trips, achieving a top speed of 50 km/h with a peak power output of 1.8 kW. This scooter can be fully charged in 6 hours 50 minutes, or 0-80% in 4 hours 30 minutes, making it highly convenient for everyday use. Its design includes a 5.0-inch LCD display that gives real-time information about the vehicle’s performance, and it also features a USB Type-C port for charging devices and 26-litre under-seat storage, making it a practical choice for daily use.
Both the ACTIVA e: and QC1 come with a 3-year/50,000 km warranty. HMSI is offering a complimentary Care Package that includes 3 free periodic maintenance services and roadside assistance for the first year. The package also includes SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) for the ACTIVA e:’s RoadSync Duo variant for the first year, enhancing the connectivity and overall riding experience.
For customers seeking additional peace of mind, the Care Plus Package provides extended benefits like a 5-year annual maintenance contract (AMC), 5-year roadside assistance, and a 5-year warranty (including 2 years of extended coverage). The Care Plus Package is available for Rs. 9,900, ensuring optimal performance and maintenance for the long-term.
Bookings for both the ACTIVA e: and QC1 are open across select cities, with deliveries beginning in February 2025 in Bengaluru and April 2025 in Delhi and Mumbai. Honda’s commitment to customer satisfaction includes offering a nominal booking amount of Rs. 1,000.
Both models will be available in five attractive colors: Pearl Serenity Blue, Pearl Misty White, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, and Pearl Shallow Blue.
